Horticultural Garden Tour

Come and enjoy one of Grenada’s most interesting and lush gardens situated around a period historical house. The garden’s current creator shares her insights and artistic plan as she takes you on a leisurely walk through the garden.

The two acre garden is a plant-enthusiast’s dream with beds of coloured leaves and variegated, evergreen and  flowering shrubs. The botanical garden has an extensive collection of heliconia, bromeliads, crotons ginger lilies and other tropical fauna. The estate has many tropical flowering trees including flamboyant, mahogany and ylang ylang. Designed to provide year-round colour, many guests return to the garden throughout the calendar to enjoy the different plants in bloom. The estate provides a wealth of vegetables and fruit for the table, along with flowers and medicinal plants for signature tea blends. We regularly provide flowers and plants for Grenada’s award wining displays at the Chelsea Flower Show in England.

The garden has been a key feature of the estate from its inception and has been featured in several books including “1001 gardens you must see before you die.” by Rae Spenser-Jones.

 We have recently added a scented element to the garden. We have several scented flora including jasmine’s, gardenias, roses and rangoon vines. The garden can be enjoyed both with the eyes and your nose.
